Big Almaty Lake tour
The Big Almaty lake is located at an altitude of 2511m, there are three peaks of around 4000m of altitude surrounding the lake. The lake is made of glacial water and depending on the time of the year, the lake changes its color from light green to turquoise blue. The lake is absolutely beautiful, especially when its surface is absolutely calm and it reflects the sky and surrounding mountains.
Combine your tour to the Big Almaty lake with a visit to the Falcon Farm you’ll learn a lot about the falcons and their importance in the Kazakh culture. You’ll enjoy a spectacular show with specially trained falcons. Hunting with falcons is one of the most unique features of the Kazakh way of life.

- Cosmo Space station: It’s possible to add a visit to the Cosmo Space Station to your trip to the Big Almaty Lake. The station lies at an altitude of 3300m, from here you have beautiful panoramic views over the lake and the mountain peaks that go up to an altitude of 6000m. At the Cosmo Space Station you’ll see very old research centers and telescopes. The additional costs are 50USD.
